  An absolute disgrace. The NHS dentists are very poor and it takes at least 2 visits to fix every problem, if then even, so costs you a fortune for even the most basic work. Expensive to phone them and takes an eternity to get through. They are hugely oversubscribed, so you can’t get appointments for months, but what do they care? They still make lots of money! Emergency appointments have gone minutes after they open, so you end up sitting in reception for hours, in agony, waiting for a cancellation. An emergency that does not have you in agony (lost a filling? Cracked a tooth?) will see you waiting for a month to see a dentist. And that’s just for a quick fix and an assessment. To actually get the problem fixed takes months, by which time you’ve probably lost the tooth. Look up Oasis or Den Dental (their old name) for more reviews like mine and accompanying horror stories, press reports and Watchdog features. £35,000 compensation for one patient? Yep. Avoid like the plague. Only the plague would leave you in better health.
